The 2004 National Judges Cup was held
January 9, 10 & 11 in Seattle, Washington.
The
Seahawk Stadium concourse was efficiently converted into
three gyms which hosted over 1,300 gymnasts from around
the country. Judges from 27 states did a great job
judging a total of 26 sessions working in 4 judge
panels.
Auburn Gymnastics, our host club did a superb job
running a meet that everyone can be proud of. They truly
went the extra mile to assure a wonderful experience for
the athletes, coaches and judges alike.
The Level 7 State Team Competition this year had 12
teams entered. The States represented in this very
special competition were Alabama, California-North,
Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico,
Oklahoma, Oregon, Utah, Virginia, and Washington. The
competition was tighter than ever with the lead changing
after every rotation. The top three finishers were
California-North, Oklahoma and Washington.
Pictured here are 75 of the judges which were assigned
on the Saturday sessions. Many other judges helped out
on Friday and Sunday of this three day competition.
